Long-distance walk KempenBroek
The Long-distance walk was developed especially for lovers of multi-day walking tours. This cross-border tour of 104 km runs from the south of the area all the way to the Zuid-Willemsvaart and takes you past the most beautiful landscapes and nature reserves of this UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve.
Where to start?
You can simply step out of the door of your holiday home, but for the other days it is best to depart from one of the five other starting points. There is ample parking
and usually a restaurant or café at or near the car park, where you will find a map showing the entire route. There are also several other places where you can join the walk.

How?
With the map:
As a guest of LeefJeNatuur, you can use the exclusive map with all the walking routes in the Kempenbroek free of charge in your holiday home.
GPS/GPX:
With the GPX file on your walking GPS or smartphone, which we will be happy to provide.
Signposting:
The entire trail is signposted in both directions with coloured libe,l signs, which are also the logo of the Kempenbroek border park, on a hexagonal plate. Follow these signs to complete the 110 km loop. It is best to do this in combination with either the map or the GPX route. In many places, there are also shortcuts. These can sometimes be interesting for making a loop-shaped walk on the spot instead of walking kilometres of paved road.
Starting points:
These are the starting points suggested by the Regional Landscape Kempen and Maasland. Holiday home De Luysmolen is located about 3 km from the Vosseven. If you are walking with us, ignore this starting point and simply set off from the holiday home. If you are walking in a counterclockwise direction, take a break at the Vosseven on your last day of walking before tackling the final kilometres. The numbers in brackets refer to the location on the regional map that we will provide.

The route
The paths through the nature reserves are mostly unpaved, and boardwalks have often been laid in marshy or wet areas. On the northern part of the Kempen~Broek long-distance walk, the ground can be very sandy. This Kempen soil absorbs moisture quickly, so that in good weather, most of the paths can be walked easily with sports shoes. There are a few passages through wooded areas that can be muddy in wet weather. There are no difficult obstacles along the way.
Unlike the National Park Trail, where the ground is mostly unpaved, some sections of the Kempenbroek trail are paved for several kilometres, particularly in the south-western part of the long-distance walk. If you prefer to avoid this, you can take the shortcuts to make loop-shaped walks from any of the suggested starting points. The walk does not take public transport into account for getting to and from the trail. As a guest of the Luysmolen, this is not a problem if you use our pick-up and drop-off service. Please note that there is a limit of 8 passengers in our minibus, so your group cannot be larger than this.
